It was a hot sunny day a patient entered in our centre with pain in lower left and right back teeth region. On clinical and radiological examination we came to know that patient was having bilateral horizontally impacted teeth which were very close to mandibular nerve and their crowns were almost on the roots of 2 nd molar. We advised him to get it removed. Our specialist Dr. Anurag Bhargava (oral and maxillofacial surgeon ) planned a piezo surgery for this extractions so that teeth can removed with minimum bone loss and we can save the 2 nd molars also. With the help of PIEZOTOME (a specialized machine to save bone) the cortical plate of bone was removed , the teeth was extracted and the bone was again placed at its site. Patient was comfortable with minimum pain and discomfort and recovery was also good as there was no nerve damage and the bone defect was also less with the help of piezotome.
